The 5PREVIEW Archives: ELLE GREEN
For the next two weeks we will be collaborating with Australian photographer, Elle Green for the 5PREVIEW ARCHIVES.
Elle Green has been taking photos since she was 14 years old while living in Adelaide, South Australia. Upon graduating from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology with a BA in Photography, she moved her post grad life to Sydney, then began traveling the world! First stop was South Africa, second stop Japan then the third stop USA. Her style developed vastly during her travels. This is where her love for reportage and docoumentry style photography developed. In a whole, her imagery is very personal and poetic. Bursting with creative flavour after her South Africa trip, Elle designed her first photo/travel diary book titled, "You Should Get Away More Often" and solo exhibited at Sydney's MTV Gallery in 2008. She proved to her peers that she could create, but even more importantly, she proved it to herself.
Since 2009, Elle has been a Featured Artist with Sydney's TCSS (The Critical Slide Society) where she traveled to Japan numerous times documenting their trips with surfers. In the 2012, Elle signed on with Volcom as a Guest Blogger, Featured Artist and most recently an Ambassodor for the brand shooting skaters and all things Volcom.
In the last several years she has been involved in a bunch of group and solo exhibtions at e.g Monster Children Gallery, Smashbox Studios in LA and most proud being Greenroom Festival in Yokohama, Japan.
Elle is at her best when traveling and shooting. The excitement of not knowing what photos she's going to get once stepped off the plane is so enthralling. Then, once having those shots, and the memories of all that beauty, its her only desire to share them with everyone.
