Here we present another fantastic collaboration for 5 PIECE PAPER, with Australian photographer Elle Green.
Elle Green lives through telling stories with her
photographs. She documents her daily adventures when she travels with
skaters and surfers around the world. We like seeing them do impossible
tricks, but we love to know what’s happening when they have their feet
on the ground. Elle captures those in-between moments best, whether its
with her Fashion photographs or travel photos. At 18 she left home in
South Australia to teach Darkroom photo skills in Maine, USA where her
love of travel Photography began. After returning from the US in 2001,
she moved to Melbourne, AUS to study a BA in Photography at RMIT, then
moved once more to Sydney where her Photo career kicked off. Between
Assisting Fashion Photographers and shooting Freelance, she began to
travel the world including; South Africa, Japan (8 times), Mexico,
frequent trips to USA, Europe and most recently Hawaii.
She began to love reportage and documentry style
photographs that, in a whole, are very personal and poetic. Bursting
with creative flavour after her South Africa trip in '07, Elle designed
her first photo/travel diary book titled, "You Should Get Away More Often"
and solo exhibited at Sydney's MTV Gallery in 2008. She proved to her
peers she could create, but even more so, she proved it to herself.
Elle has exhibited her work at galleries in Japan, Hawaii, LA, Melbourne and Sydney.
She has self published 3 books and 1 zine.
