5PREVIEW PEOPLE | Irina

We wanted to get to know the Brand Manager / Visual Storyteller from Germany a little more so we asked Irina some questions about where she finds inspiration and she also told us her dream project to work on, scroll down and enjoy the interview.

What are three things you want people to know about you?
  • I’m half Dutch. My mother comes from Amsterdam and I developed an unconditional love for this open minded and beautiful city.
  • I’m a very emotional person. I’m that kind of girl who is crying because of 'Jane Austen' movies. Don’t even get me started with 'Pride and Prejudice'.
  • Besides my Blog 'Beautykillsman' I just founded my own Social Media company with one of my Besties.
If you could buy anything in the world right now, what would it be?
A puppy. In my own fairytale I see myself riding a bicycle with a basket in front and my puppy called 'Bella' is sitting in it. Partners in crime – forever.

If you were a painting, what would it look like?
It would look like a 'Donald Robertson' painting. Super colourful, imperfect with many different shapes and forms.

Where do you look for inspiration?
I can get inspired by many things. An interesting person, an art exhibition or nature. The past offers also a lot of great inspiration. Sometimes I’m going through my moms old photo albums and I spend hours checking what she was wearing back in the 60’s. Bell-bottoms, huge sunglasses, plateau heels... many things we can see today on the runway.

When are you the most creative?
Everywhere except inside my apartment. Sitting in a cafe and observing life, changing perspectives and angles. That’s something we often forget in our daily routine. There’s great inspiration right in front of our eyes.

What’s in your bag?
My bag is always a mess and I’m not able to find anything. Anyways. You can definitely find at least one nude and one red lipstick in my bag. I don’t need Make-Up, but I need lipsticks – my personal lifesaver.

Do you live by a motto? If so, what is it?
I’m not really following a motto I just try to use every opportunity and enjoy life as much as I can. So I guess my motto would be 'seize the day'.

Who is your role model?
I adore Brigitte Bardot, Donatella Versace and Edward Snowden. I know, there is no connection between Snowden, Bardot und Versace. But this is how I actually am. I appreciate pioneers and modern heroes.
